Why do copper braided tape/wire use red copper wire instead of brass wire?

Copper products are an indispensable part of the electrical industry, and copper braided tape, as a product with high utilization rate, is widely used as a conductor for various high and low voltage electrical appliances, such as electrical appliances. Is the copper wire of copper braided tape brass or red copper?

The copper wire of the copper braided tape/wire is made of red copper. Because the resistivity of brass is very high, sometimes it is three times that of red copper, which is not suitable for wire copper.

The copper of regular wires must be red copper, generally T1 and T2 copper, so that the resistance can be qualified. Because red copper is a kind of relatively pure copper, it can be generally considered as pure copper, with good conductivity and plasticity, but poor strength and hardness. It is mainly because red copper has excellent thermal conductivity, ductility and corrosion resistance. Therefore, red copper is used for wires.

The copper braided tape/wire is drawn from copper rods. The material is single, and the surface and interior are all made of copper. The appearance looks purple red, also known as red copper. The color varies from dark to light because of the purity of copper. In terms of physical properties, the bare copper wire is soft and has excellent conductivity.
